A Life Reimagined
After more than two decades in the corporate world, founder Donna experienced a life-changing health journey that reshaped her perspective on what truly matters.
For the first time, she found herself questioning not just how she wanted to work, but how she wanted to live.
She stepped away from a career that no longer reflected her values and chose a different path—one grounded in purpose, presence and a desire to create something meaningful.
It was a decision that changed far more than her career.
It changed the direction of her life.
That decision would eventually become the foundation of everything Posh Paws stands for today.
The Fiji Years
That decision led Donna to the Fiji Islands, where she spent six formative years immersed in a slower, simpler way of life—surrounded by nature, community and animals.
From rescued puppies and orphaned kittens to loyal dogs and farm animals, every day became an opportunity to observe, nurture and build trust. She discovered that animals don't need us to rush them, fix them or change them.
They simply need to feel safe.
It was during these years that caring became something far deeper than responsibility. Nursing newborn animals through sleepless nights, witnessing quiet resilience, and earning trust through patience revealed a simple but powerful truth:

Those years became the foundation of the philosophy that still guides every Posh Paws stay today.
A Shared Vision
While Donna is the founder and primary caregiver behind Posh Paws, her husband, Inoke, has been a valued part of the journey from the very beginning.
Raised on a farm and deeply attuned to animal behaviour, Inoke brings a calm, observant understanding that complements the thoughtful approach Posh Paws is known for today. He supports the Posh Paws experience and accompanies her on overnight stays after his workday, providing an additional reassuring presence for both pets and their families.
Together, they share the same belief: exceptional care begins with understanding.
Every pet is an individual. Every relationship is earned. Every stay is approached with patience, kindness and genuine respect for the trust each family places in their care.

Where Posh Paws Began
When Donna returned home to the Gold Coast, she brought with her far more than memories of Fiji.
She returned with a clear purpose and a different way of thinking about pet care. Together with Inoke, she began building a life grounded in the same values that had shaped their years overseas—patience, understanding and genuine respect for the animals in their care.
Posh Paws was created to offer thoughtful, boutique in-home care for families who wanted more than someone to simply feed their pets or let them outside. It was built for those seeking genuine peace of mind, knowing their beloved companions could remain happy, relaxed and emotionally secure in the comfort of home.
